| Any Junjou lovers on the f-list? I know I've advertised the anime a bit, because it is not the worst thing on earth, and decently drawn. I've recently joined the LJ comm for Hiroki/Nowaki - the Junjou Egoist part of the series. What I like about Junjou is that the anime follows the manga closely (just without explicit porn). Also the various couples are fun to follow, especially when their lives cross each other. As for the fandom, people are fairly active, either in the above comm, or in LJ's junjou_fanatics. The writers are fair, some are even brilliant. If you'd like to try one out, I think you should look at this one by parsnip_chan: Off-stage, Away from the Spot-Lights (Hiroki/Nowaki, NC-17). A brilliant, deliciously hot fic, and very well written. Highly recommended. Also a youka_nitta rec: geri_chan's ongoing series (the various parts are stand-alone fics) about Onozuka and Kikuchi is extremely interesting as it casts a light over the less-known characters. The lastest story about them is Press Conference, Parts 1-3. Worth a read - and comprehensible even without having read any Nitta-manga. Highly recommended, not only because my favourite character - the snarky, rude film-director Mochimune is featured as well! ;0) A reminder: boku_no_koe begins in less than a week, on the 15th. Which reminds me that I need to decide which characters I want. You can still participate, extensively or more relaxed. Go look. | |

| I am done moving! Thanks to the wonderful trekkiegrrrl and her husband, J, I have moved stuff and is now somewhat settled in my new tiny-flat (also known as a shoe box with a loo). I still have a lot to unpack and move around, but my bed's up and running, what with all the interesting machinery. My back loves it, though. Also, I now has internet. I am not sure I am ever going to try to live without it at home again. As the old uni was just around the corner (or rather a mile away) it was doable. Here, at the new uni, I am 10 miles from it, so... internet at home. Yay. I can be in bed and do internetty stuff. geri_chan just gave youka_nitta a Permanent Account! As our itty-bitty comm is one of my favourite places on the net, I can't say how pleased I am. Thanks, Geri! And I don't even dare to think of how much my back is going to hate me tomorrow. Moving is not good for it. | |

| Celebration 1: I knew this comment would come back to haunt and mock me... However, 28th May 2008 was the day when I found Haru o Daiteita and watched the anime for the first time, so I consider it my manga fandom anniversary day. So on Thursday I am going to offer drabbles for ... well, all I can manage to write. Throw me a Youka Nitta pairing and two prompts in this post and I'll do my best, work hard and all that. (I might do YN/HP cross-overs, Snape/Lucius, Percy/Snape or Snupin too, but might choose to ignore the HP prompts - don't feel offended if I do - it is a manga anniversary after all... Celebration 2: Today was the big day of my thesis defence. Zen and the Art of Imagist Haiku: Japonisme in Ezra Pound... Result: Professor Snapelike is good. 12 (A+) for the oral presentation and 12 for the actual written thesis. Hah. Snapelike-sensei knows Ezra Fu! Btw, I was thinking about the difference between the Danish 12/A and the US A+/A... it seems as if they are not the same (obviously, since they are different grades in different countries). Does it really sound right that around 30-40% of a class receive As? Here is it rare, and only given to the top 10% of the students. Many never get an A in their entire time at the primary/secondary/high school/university. London? kabal42, are you going to London in July. Anyone else? Around the 2-6th for example? | |

| Title: Where the White Lilies Grow (10/10) Universes: Haru wo Daiteita & Casino Lily Pairings: Carlo/Magira, Iwaki/Katou, Shouji/Shu Ti Fan Rating, all over: NC-17 Warnings, all over: Explicit sex and violence. Shameless Romance. This is not an angst-fest. Word count, this part: 11,000 – the entire fic: 46,000 Notes: List of all chapters over @ IJ here. This fic is for elfflame who wanted me to put Magira in this situation. An "oyabun" is the non-blood-related "father" in the relationship between a younger yakuza and his older protector. The line of poetry comes from " The Song of the Bowmen of Shu" in Ezra Pound's brilliant approximation (1914) to Wen Wang's ("Bunno" in Japanese) poem. Also, regarding canon names in CL, there're differences from the scanlation to the US translation, and again to the Jp version. Bear with it, if it doesn't sound like the name you're used to. (And of course I don't have my JP manga here. Grrrr.) Summary: When Carlo comes home from a business trip only to discover that Magira has left him, he has to change the passive way he usually takes when it comes to defending his relationship with the charming, but spoiled young player. Carlo has once offered to wager his entire fortune in exchange for Magira's company. This time, Carlo has to realise that his life might be at stake as well... | The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! - What I create will be just for you, and it will be a one-of-a-kind item. - It'll be done this year. - You have no clue what it's going to be. Neither do I at this point. - I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that if you sign up, you must re-post and make the same offer to your flist in return. That's right, there's no free lunch! So, we can all make stuff!! And send it. Into the universe. Yesssssss. MUAHAHAHAHA! You are now in my evil clutches. Or something.
Just a thought... I wonder how one can can snark and send it. It'll be an interesting experiment as I have a lot to give away. More heh.

| Why must Fic of Doom (would be 5k - grew to 20K, then to 30) continue to grow. Last chapter... lalalala... can be done in a day and 5K, right? Wrong. Now Has 10K. Has to stop, dammit, and the last smexx isn't written yet. Or the prologue! Wah! Japanese boys are so doing it! I has fandom things to do! Which reminds me to do some pimping: Over at youka_nitta we're having the Embracing Spring Fest - lots of lovely YN bishounen boys to choose from - go submit a prompt, even if you don't have the time or the muse to write anything for the fest. deathday_party - A HP meeting in Kent. Usual insane crowd + hopefully a similarly insane bunch of newcomers who wants to HP with us. We have corsets, Snupin and gin. Can't go wrong. Well, it can, but this time Professor Snapelike won't have the flu. *snerks* | |

| Title: Christmas Traditions Characters: Lucius/James Potter Jr, Lucius/Severus. Rating: NC-17 Warnings: Non/dub-con, mindfuck, dark, chanish. Psycho!Lucius. And Psycho!Severus as well, now that I think of it. OMG, this is so wrong. Word count: 3,300 Notes: This was written for Kinky Kristmas, for ariadneelda ♥. Thanks to zephre for looking this over. Any errors are or course mine. Summary: An unexpected encounter in Knockturn Alley delivers James Potter into Lucius Malfoy's hands. As Christmas is the time for toys and traditions, Potter Jr is in for a surprise he won't forget... at least for... a while. ( Christmas Traditions ) | |

| Happy birthday to one of the most georgous and wonderful persons on my flist, Iamisaac. Sab, darling, I am so happy to have met you in RL, you are as giving and kind a person in RL as you are here. (And didn't we say you'd fit right in!) I am looking forward to see you in April, m'dear. ♥♥♥ Here's a tiny Regency-ish drabble for you. It has manors, Lords and stable boys, at least. Thank God Colin Firth didn't show up too. ;0) Implied Remus/Lucius; PG. ( Stable Boy ) | |

| 1. Plans for the summer? Or rather last week in April. iamisaac and I are planning HP mini con/residential somewhere (on a manor) in Kent. Price around 75-100£ + your food/drink. A week of academica, fandom fun and a Deathday party of course. And Death Eaters vs. The bloody Order. It is the 10th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. Interested? 2. OMG, I'm hungry. I has ramen, but I am too lazy to run up on the second floor to boil some water. Obviously I am not yet hungry enough. 3. I really should have been writing this weekend, but did I? Nope. Annoying. 4. Efiction/Surtown hosting =/= OTP. I am going insane. *stabs efiction* 5. Because that comes as a surprise... Your result for The Sorting Hat Test... SlytherinYou scored 39% Order/Chaos, and 37% Moral/Rational. Chaotic Rationality. You don't think much of rules and restrictions; you look at things from an analytical perspective and probably think morality is relative to some extent. Your strength lies in being able to make your own judgments and form your own strategies uninhibited by others; your weakness lies in the wariness other people may have of you, perceiving you as dangerous. You join people like Theodore Nott, Severus Snape, and Horace Slughorn. Take The Sorting Hat Test at Hello Quizzy | |

| I finished my last exam yesterday. My reward was to find a letter with a 2,000$ demand from the owners of my former flat. Obviously they think it has to be refurbished for my money. Yay. Or something. Nevertheless, I almost have time to do fannish stuff for a week or two, as long as I remember to write my Bachelor thesis. Can't be a problem, can it? Now for the Oscar speech... A heartfelt "thank you" to people who wrote fics for me for Christmas: the lovely iamisaac wrote me a delightful Fleur/Minerva drabble. Mmmm! I'd love to see more with the two of them. lordhellebore sent be a hot Percy/Snape. Damn, I get depressed that she writes them so well. (No, I don't. She just needs to write MOAR!) Also, inamac sent me presents (and I still need to know what the shampoo cost, hon!). USB thingie for my lappie. Useful little bugger with a flashy blinking end. Heh. kabal42 gave me a gift too, and I am so sad I didn't get to use it. On the other hand, I am glad that the concert was brilliant. A lovely blpaintchart cross stitching from her made my Christmas more cheerful. Thanks, darlings. ♥ kirasha wrote me SnuSa and sent Snape and Remus into the world of fashion. Thank you, kirasha, I enjoyed the fic immensely. A deepfelt thanks to A.P and red_day_dawning whose contributions kept Youka Nitta Project and snapelike.com from being shut down. Thanks, girls. There are fics coming your way. Thank you for the lovely Christmas cards to lordhellebore, ariadneelda, inamac, blpaintchart and red_day_dawning. I suppose the post wil deliver some to you all in return soonish. ♥ A big hug to lore for being such a great and lovely person and because she offers her shoulder and support when it is most needed. ♥ *hugs* She shares the title with Red and Teh Chart, and with Robin and imma who literally threw away what they were doing and showed up when I needed the muscle to carry things. ♥ 2009, at least the first half of it, seems to become as busy as 2008. I have a shitload of exams, a Bachelor project and a gazillion fics to write. 2009 is hereby The Year of Unfinished Fics and No Challenges. As I have to move during the summer, plus probably spending a few weeks in Japan, I had to plan my plans until September. Oh, and I need to kill the Vista on my new lappie. Fun thing is that Acer doesn't provide drivers for their crap for XP. They are pros. No, really. Honestly... as soon as I get a job that can provide me with a nice, comfortable salary I am going to ritually murder and sacrifice the sodding piece of shit. On the other hand, I am sure I'll go to hell for offering any decent deity an Acer. *turns crap laptop and look at the bottom of it* Oooh, lookie... "Made in Hell". That explain one or two things. Unfortunately, it doesn't explain why the even crappier PC company I bought the thing from haven't yet managed to send me ½ the cord (the one with the adapter on it) so I can actually *use* the wretched thing. When they finally got to send me a cord, they sent me one with the wrong adapter. Pros, too. Yes. Really. *cough* Well, they probably sold their souls to the devil in return for cheap Acers. Who knows. Or maybe they'll be sent to the deepest levels of hell, the part where they'll have to attempt to make Vista run four heavy applications at the same time on a shitty Acer. Good luck, guys. Be happy you have the entire eternity to make it happen. ( Snapelike plans, in order of To Do: )I didn't think I wrote much this year, but... ( Snapelike Writing 2008 )( Snapelike's Art 2008 )( Other stuff... )... And the Oscar goes to... SNAPELIKE for having written the longest, windiest most belated post ever. *snuggles Teh Flist* | |

| Dear Ms A.P. Would you kindly give me your favourite pairing and a prompt and I'll write you fic! ♥♥♥ Your generosity is simply amazing. Love, Snapelike Also, thank you lordhellebore and ariadneelda, for your lovely Christmas cards. ♥♥♥ More love, SL Meh, I had hoped to get some time off between Christmas and New Year, but no. British Poor Law 1832 vs the welfare state is more important than having a life. If I have overlooked one of your comments, it is because of the exam stress. Feel free to poke at me and nag about it. | |

| Ah, today it was confirmed. After the spring term I'll be studying Japanese in Aarhus for the next two years - then a year in Japan, and back to write final thesis in Kolding (English and Japanese). I'll end up damned clever. Housing in Aarhus seems to be easy to find, and (relatively) cheap. Uni: I hate my history essay. It won't behave and I have far too much material to use for it. Too little time. [/moaning] Manga: Have any of the Harudaki-loving fen started reading When a Man Loves a Man yet? Also, I have a truly annoying Mochimune-bunny running around that I might need to write during the weekend, just to get some peace and quiet. Why do I have the notion that this little corner of fandom end up being Mochi-shippers? He is just not a nice person. *loves on Mochimune* Snape vs Mochi anyone? SnuSa Rec: I am going insane. I want to read, but I know it'll go entirely wrong if I begin. So many interesting stories to look at. I have, however, taken a sneak peek at some of the art. I recommend you go look at Magical Magazine - fake articles about Tonks, Snape and Lupin. Newspapers and agony aunts have never been more entertaining. I do have an idea who did this, and it is just... go read... Magical Magazine: A Snupin Special. Moar SnuSa art rec: Also this fabulous, fantastic piece (or rather pieces) of art is worth your time: A long untitled comic featuring Severus/Remus and OMG, Ron/Draco: Untitled. Congratulations: It is the bright, snarky and absolutely adorable lordhellebore's birthday. Congratulations, honey! ♥ May the next year bring you much happiness and less x-hubby. | |

| The Pimp Cane Christmas Calendar Characters: Teh Pimp Cane & Lucius (a bit of Narcissa, Draco and Snape and a Ferret on the side). Rating: G Media: Traditional, digital. #15+19 are collages. Use: Free, with credit. Disclaimer: No actual ferrets were damaged during the drawing of this calendar. Notes: It has become a bit of a tradition with Snakey. I had promised myself I'd draw a new batch of calendar icons this year, but no. I haven't even had time to switch the dates, so they fit with Sundays. Blame my sudden willingness to actually study. ( Oh, NOES! It's Snakey again... ) | |

| Title: Katou's Gift Characters: Iwaki/Katou Rating: NC-17 Warnings: slight voyeurism/exhibitionism Word count: 1,750 Notes: Happy birthday, lovely Lore! Thanks for your support, your kindness and your many kisses and hugs. *hugs and kisses* Fandom would be poorer and less lovely without you here. ♥♥♥ Thanks for beta to the amazingly amazing blpaintchart! Summary: On his birthday, Iwaki is doing his second film for Director Mochimune. Katou shows up with a birthday present. ( Katou's Gift ) | |

| Seems like a sensible person has been elected as President of the United States. Congratulations - also to the rest of us whose PMs have been nothing than wagging little lapdogs to Bush and the Republicans. Hopefully, Obama can make them find their common sense where they left it some eight years ago, although it is probably too much to hope for.
I'm sorry, Americans, too, that gay marriage isn't accepted in so many states. Two steps forward and one back?
President Obama, eh? *cheers*

| And I had to move with unexpectedly short notice due to the former flat's company policy (they need a week before the actual end-of-lease to make the flat shiny so they can filch my deposit). Result: major panic! Which the lovely imma and the gorgeous kabal42 helped me solve - with mental backup from the ever-snarky Chart and my darling Red. *hugs you all* God, I love you guys! ♥♥♥ Anyhowses, Imma and Robin showed up, Snapelike rented a car, and things went into boxes and over to the new flat. Old flat got cleaned with pro assistance (which meant that Imma did all the hard work while I disassembled a fridge and washed the bloody thing). It was great to see Robin again. I realised it has been a year since I was in Copenhagen last. Bad me! I had missed R more than I thought, and it was two long nights and very little sleep and lots of chatting. ♥ on R! The bad, bad thing is that I don't have interwebs in my new flat, and I have considered letting it stay that way. I've used too much time refreshing the flist, and since I live near the uni, I don't have problems getting my internet time anyway. I might just be more conscious about when I truly need to see my flist. Once or twice a day should be enough, right? The new flat's nice, even with the child care just below my windows. They go home at 4.30 and will leave the place quiet. Compared to former idiot neighbour, that's a relief. I fear, though, that new neigbour might be noisy too, but the building has a no-tolerance policy regarding annoying neighbour sounds, so that's good. I am off, flist. See you Wednesday, or so. | |
